The Theory Test
The Driving Standards Agency Theory test consists of two parts. A multiple choice and a hazard perception part. You have to pass both parts to pass the test. You can only apply for your practical test when you have passed your theory test.Multiple Choice
This part of the test requires you to answer 50 questions and you must answer at least 43 correctly in 57 minutes to pass. The questions appear on a computer touch screen. You answer the questions by touching the screen. Be aware, some questions have more than one answer!
Hazard Perception
This part is also on a computer screen, but requires you to click the button on the mouse. You will watch a series of 14 video clips that feature everyday road scenes. Within each clip there will be one developing hazard, (one clip has two developing hazards). To score you need to click when you see each developing hazard, the maximum score you can receive for each hazard is 5. To pass the Hazard Perception test you must score at least 44.The theory test is explained at the following website:
